Lila's birthday was pretty low-key. We went out to lunch with my and Roman's families to celebrate. I have started a tradition of making her her own little homemade birthday cake. Last year it was somewhat of a problem because I made sugar-cookie frosting instead of cake frosting--teach me to READ the recipe well before making it. This year I made the cake in a hurry, so it was a little crooked, but the cakes tasted good and that's all that matters right?
Lila got a bunch of great birthday gifts! Her big gift from us was a Radio Flyer Steer & Stroll Trike. She hasn't figured out how to pedal or steer yet, but there's a handle on the back that allows mom or dad to steer for her while you push. Pretty neat!
Easter was VERY uneventful. We went to church in the morning and then went to my mom's house and ate her leftover food. The Easter Bunny left Lila Easter baskets at home and at Grana Nana's house, and Jett even got one too!
Baby Jett is doing well, he was up to 9 lbs at two weeks old! There are a couple pictures of him in the mix. A friend of mine from my moms' group took some fantastic pictures of Jett when he was only 9 or 10 days old and I will post some of them when she gets done editing them.
My moms' group had an Easter egg hunt. Lila wasn't really sure what to do at first, but once she figured out there was candy in the eggs she caught on fast. Only problem was, she wanted to look inside each egg as she picked them up. Made for slow going!
