In one of the new cloth diapers I got for her. They are called Fuzzi Bunz because they have really soft fleece on the inside. They come in all sorts of colors and cute patterns too. I just got some unisex colors in case the next baby is a boy. The best part is, they expand so she can wear them until she is 30 lbs! She seems to like them.

Videos
Here are a couple recent videos of Lila. The first is her walking with some assistance from me, and then giving the camera kisses. She's just started giving up big, open mouth kisses. The second is of her making a bunch of noise. She frequently sits down with a book and starts 'talking'. Sorry about the bouncy camera work. I heard her making noise and got the camera, but had to sneak over to her. If she sees me with the camera she often clams up.

more sick
So Roman is now feeling better, but he passed on the germs to moi. Luckily I'm starting to feel better today. Lila seems to be doing alright though. She's getting her two front teeth on top now, so that's made her fussier than normal. The tooth on the right is almost ready to break the surface. She has quite the little personality as you will see in the video. This is what happens most often when you try to take someting from her. She falls down at the end and starts crying, but she didn't even get hurt! It sounds like she hits her face on the crate in front of her, but it was just the plastic bottle she's holding. Roman said she stopped crying as soon as he put the camera down.

Grandma's photos
I scanned in some of the photos my Grandma sent from her trip here over Christmas. Most of them are of our house, but since most of you have never been here I thought I'd post them. The last picture is one of me when I was 5, it was sitting by the scanner so I scanned it in.

Sick and misc
Roman has been home sick the last couple days. Luckily he did really well at work last year (he is one of only three people in the company's history to sell $1 million in a year). This is the third time he's been sick this season and he usually only gets sick once a year. It must be a bad cold and flu season this year. Lila has been unusually fussy too so I imagine she's not feeling great either.

She's making more and more sounds as well. She's started making puh, puh sounds and yesterday she said ma, ma. Before it was mostly da and ba sounds. I swear it feels like any day now she's going to take a step too. She has figured out that if her knees are up again something it will keep her up so she stands without holding on quite a bit.
Roman was trying to get Lila to push the button to start the ballpopper in this video. And there are some recent photos below.
I think she looks like she's ready to go skiing.
She loves her books.

9 months old
Lila is 9 months old today. Where does the time go?? I swear it was just a couple months ago that we brought her home from the hospital. She is already miss independent. She walks herself along all the furniture and has been standing up unassisted more and more. She was balancing for just a second before falling, but recently she's stood for a good 4 or 5 seconds on her own. She's also been "talking" up a storm and laughing much more. I got some video of her talking yesterday that I've attach below. I've also attached some misc. pictures.

video
We got a new digital camera that also takes video, so I shot a little clip of Lila with the ball popper she got from my Aunt Ann and Uncle Pat for Christmas. Sorry about my filming skills, I was trying to push the balls back down into the toy, so they'd keep popping out, while I was recording her.

Lila's Room
I took a couple pictures of Lila's room recently to show a friend. It's not very fancy, but I thought I'd post them so you all can see it. We just ordered a crib skirt for her crib, so hopefully that will dress it up a little. Roman plans to paint a mural on her wall aswell, but that'll probably be a longterm project.

Lila's First Christmas
As expected, she didn't really get into the whole Christmas thing. She did pull the tissue out of the gift bags and ripped a couple strips of wrapping paper, but no sooner did she have it in her hand and it was in her mouth. She was particularly interested in the bows. She ripped them off other peoples gifts to chew and drool on them. She got a Busy Ball Popper from my Uncle Pat and Aunt Ann that she really likes. It plays music and the balls pop out the top and go all over the place. She goes after the balls. She got a bunch of great toys and clothes, and a nice charm bracelet from Grandma Nan and Auntie Meredith. I imagine next Christmas will be a different story as far as the interest in the presents goes. Pictures below...
